West Regional Library

ALS was responsible for master planning, space planning, and designing the new regional library serving the western portion of Duval County. The West Regional Library includes popular materials, children’s area, full-service teen section, public meeting rooms, a computerized reference area, and a “Friends of the Library” café.  At 50,000 sf, this is the largest brand included in the City of Jacksonville Better Jacksonville library program. Budgeted at $5,170,000, the building was constructed for only $4,820,000.  We assisted the City by preparing the State of Florida grant application to secure additional funding for the library and other Better Jacksonville library program facilities.
